On December 17, the final of the Speech competition took place in the Great Hall of the Moscow Theological Academy. The competition has been held for three years. This year it was attended also by students from the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

On December 18, 2023, the Candidate Dissertation Council No. 1 of the Moscow Theological Academy, which joins the departments of Biblical Studies, Theology and Philology (ancient languages) assessed two PhD thesis.

On December 10, 2023, the students’ forum “Meeting” took place at the Moscow Theological Academy. On this day, the Academy was visited by students from the biggest Moscow universities such as the Moscow State University, MGIMO, VGIK, the Moscow State University, the Higher School of Economics, the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman, MPEI, MEPhI.

On December 16, 2023, the Moscow Theological Academy introduced educational programs to the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate levels, as well as applicants for the faculties of church singing and icon painting.

On December 5 and 7, 2023, undergraduate and graduate students at the Correspondence Studies Department of the Moscow Theological Academy took their final exams. On December 12 and 13, they defended final qualification works.

On December 13, 2023, on the memory day of St. Apostle Andrew the First-Called, the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church, and ordained Alexey Vedernikov, a first-year Master’s student, into a deacon.

On December 8, 2023, the Philology Department of the Moscow Theological Academy held the All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Hermeneutics of the Christian text in Literature, Language, Art”.

On December 7, 2023, the Educational Committee held the first organizational meeting with representatives of seven higher theological educational institutions in the Moscow region and the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, dedicated to the beginning of the implementation of the pilot project “Memory of the Church”: conversations with witnesses of the Church life in the Soviet era.”

On December 4, 2023, the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the day of the Entrance of the Mother of God into the Jerusalem Temple. During the service at the Intercession Academic Church Bishop Kirill was co-served by the academic clergy.

On December 1 and 2, the Academy held festive services at the Intercession Academic Church on the memory day of St. Philaret, Metropolitan of Moscow, a heavenly patron of the Moscow Theological Academy.

On November 30, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill met with the winners of the I and II All-Russian Theology Competitions taken among final year students of theological schools and theological university departments. Ilya Cherkashin represented the Moscow Theological Academy.

On November 27, 2023, the IV All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Justinian Readings” took place at the Moscow Theological Academy.
