On September 18, 2023, the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, chaired a meeting of the Scientific and Methodological Council.

On September 10 and 11, 2023, the Academy honored the Beheading of St. John the Baptist by serving the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church.

On September 4, 2023, postgraduate students of the Moscow Theological Academy started their classes at St. Andrew’s Monastery.

On September 4, 2023, the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, met with first-year Bachelor’s and Master’s students and students from the Icon-painting and Church Singing Art faculties in the Great Assembly Hall.

On September 1, 2023, the Moscow Theological Academy marked the start of a new academic year with festive celebrations. The Rector Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Kirill performed the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church.

On August 31, 2023, an expanded meeting of the Academic Council of the Academy and a general meeting of the professorial and teaching corporation took place in the Elizabethan Hall of the Moscow Theological Academy.

On August 25 and 26, 2023, at the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill, a delegation of abbots and brethren from the Egyptian monasteries of the Coptic Church visited the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra and the Moscow Theological Academy.

On August 27 and 28, 2023, the Moscow Theological Academy held festive services on the Assumption of the Mother of God. Archimandrite Hilarion (Forkavets) officiated the All-Night Vigil and Archimandrite Venedikt (Knyazev) performed the Divine Liturgy.

On August 24, 2023, during the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, a new group of the Synodal Biblical and Theological Commitee was composed. The Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, and Hegumen Dionysiy (Shlyonov), Head of the Postgraduate school of the Academy, became members of the group.

On August 24, 2023, at the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, was appointed as the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov, Abbot of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra.

On August 18 and 19, 2023, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, officiated festive services on the Transfiguration of the Lord at the Intercession Academic Church and a diaconal ordination.
