Victory Day Concert Held In The Great Hall Of The MThA
On May 9, 2026, a traditional concert dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory was held at the Moscow Theological Academy.

On this day, the hearts of those gathered in the Great Hall were filled with gratitude and the bright memory of the feat of many soldiers, military commanders, and home front workers who defended the freedom and independence of the Fatherland at the cost of their lives. Songs and poems of the war years brought images of the heroic past to life once again and served as a reminder of the enduring price of peace.

Students of the Academy, with the support of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church, presented an extensive program with sincerity and warmth, combining poetic words and vocal numbers.

The evening opened with "Minute Of Silence". (Lyube). The following poems were recited: "Christ's Host"., "On The Day Of Memory And Sorrow..."., "Do You Remember, Alyosha, The Roads Of The Smolensk Region"., "Death Of A Friend"., "Outside Moscow"., "Mother"., "To The Storms"., "About The Prisoner"., "Army"., "Letter To Mother"., "Silence And Smoothness By The Road..."., "Mother Stands By The Eternal Flame"., and "Blessed Xenia".

The vocal part included the following works: "Pre-War Waltz"., "Leningrad's Heart Is Beating"., "Flask"., "To The Heroes Of The Battle Of Moscow"., "By The Kazan Mother Of God"., "Ballad Of Colors"., "Our Tenth Paratrooper Battalion"., "Ah, These Clouds In The Blue"., "Vasya Kryuchkin"., "It's Been A Long Time Since We Were Home"., "Quieter"., "Widows Of Russia"., "Moments"., "White Tears Of Bird Cherry Trees"., "White Birds"., "Our Cossacks Are Riding Through Berlin..."., "May Waltz"., and "Victory Day".

The concert concluded with a collective performance of the songs "Katyusha"., "Mists-Fogs"., and "Arise, Vast Country".
