Planned Inspection Of The Educational Committee At The Faculty Of Church Singing Art

From April 27 to 29, a planned inspection by the Educational Committee was held at the Faculty of Church Singing Art of the Academy.

The commission included N.V. Leontyeva, Head of the Control and Analytical Service of the Educational Committee for Regent and Icon Painting Education; A.A. Maksimov, Head of the Conducting Department and Professor at the St. Petersburg Theological Academy;

O.E. Sheludyakova, Head of the Regent Department at the Yekaterinburg Theological Seminary and Doctor of Art History; Nun Georgia (Kislova), Head of the Regent Department at the Yaroslavl Theological Seminary; O.R. Gorsheneva, Head of the Regent Department at the Penza Theological Seminary; and D.A. Rogov, Head of the Regent Department at the Kazan Theological Seminary.

During their stay at the Academy, the commission attended classes and familiarized themselves with the material and technical facilities, regulatory documentation, the dormitory, and the faculty library. 

An assessment of competency formation was conducted among the graduating 4th-year students, during which the students were asked to provide written answers to questions on the history of sacred music and church statutes. 

In addition, students randomly selected by the commission demonstrated their skills in conducting a church choir.

Upon completion of the inspection on April 29, the main results of the commission's work were presented to the Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, Bishop Kirill of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov, and members of the administration.
