On February 14th and 15th the bishop of Zvenigorod Pitirim, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, performed festive services at the academic church of the Intercession of the Theotokos. During the Divine Liturgy he ordained a Master student into a deacon.

The Printing House of the Moscow Theological Academy released the 2020 calendar which consists of two parts. There is a monthly list with an indication of church feasts which accompanied by history of an academic church of the Intercession of the Theotokos established 150 years ago.

On February 6 th an MThA first-year Bachelor student Pavel Denisik organized a public campaign against artificial abortion. He told the passers-by in which period of pregnancy baby’s heart starts beating by using some realistic human-like models.

On January 28 th 2020 a conference “Go and teach: Orthodox Missionary work in Russian history” took place in a VDNH’s historical park “Russia is my history”. The conference was hold as a part of the 28 th International Educational Christmas Readings that were dedicated to the 150 th anniversary of establishment of the Orthodox Missionary organization whose statute was approved by Alexander II in November 1869.

The publishing house of the Moscow Theological Academy has released a new book “The one voice plain singing: a manual for practicing the eight church modes”. Tatiana Panteleeva, who is an author and a compiler, works as a church singing senior teacher of a church-practical department and a chorister’s faculty of the Moscow Theological Academy.
