The beginning of a new academic year celebrations at the Moscow Theological Academy

Moscow Theological Academy temporarily switches to distance learning

Starting from March 18th, the Moscow Theological Academy temporarily switches to distance learning. Classrooms are canceled and students sent home while the epidemiological situation improves.

A second-year Master student of the Moscow Theological Academy Nikolay Sapsai took part in a round table discussion held in the programme “Re: action” on the SPAS TV channel and dedicated to the current state of affairs in Montenegro provoked by the enactment of the controversial Freedom and religion Act.

The MThA students brought an attention of Sergiev Posad citizens to the problem of artificial abortion

On February 6 th an MThA first-year Bachelor student Pavel Denisik organized a public campaign against artificial abortion. He told the passers-by in which period of pregnancy baby’s heart starts beating by using some realistic human-like models.

On December 30th 2012, with the blessing of Illarion (Kapral), the metropolitan of East America and New York and the head-hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Overseas, the first Russian Orthodox parish was established in Sargodha, Pakistan.

Concert “Music and soul” took place in the Moscow Theological Academy

On December 5 th a concert “Music and soul” took place in the Elizabethan’s hall of the Moscow Theological Academy. It was hold by the initiative of a third year student Gleb Shumko and his wife Maria Shumko, student of the Crimean Federal university, with the blessing of an administration of the Moscow Theological Academy.

Students of the Moscow Theological Academy help elderly people to adjust to a modern information environment

On November 5 students of the Moscow Theological Academy started a series of meetings aimed for elderly people in Sergiev Posad. The first lesson of “Internet for beginners” programme took place in the Municipal Labor and Social Protection Department.
