On April 7, students of the Moscow Theological Academy visited the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (rus. MGIMO) and met with Vladimir Romanovich Legoyda, Professor and a Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and Media.

On April 8 and 9, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite of Zvenigorod performed festive divine services of the Akathist Saturday. On April 17, the Rector celebrated the Divine Liturgy and on the previous day read the Matins and the Akathist to the Mother of God.

On April 6 and 7, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, officed festive services at the Intercession Academic Church and performed presbyter’s and deacon’s ordinations.

On April 5, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, chaired a meeting of the Academic Council, which took place at the Elizabethan Hall.

On April 4 and 5, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite and the academic clergy read the complete Great Canon of St. Andrew of Crete at the Intercession Academic Church.

On April 2 and 3, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the seminary church of St. John Climacus.

On April 1, Priest Andrey Lysevich, Vice-Rector for Licensing and Accreditation at the Moscow theological Academy, successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis at the General Church Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Center named after Sts Cyril and Methodius.

On March 30, Hieromonk Kassian (Ploskiy) performed the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at the Intercession Church of the Moscow Theological Academy co-served by teachers and students in the priesthood.

On March 26 and 27, Bishop Theodorite officed divine services on the third Sunday of the Great Lent at Intercession Church of the Moscow Theological Academy.

On March 24, the Department of Theology held a successful pre-defense of two Ph.D. theses.

On March 24, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church appointed Hegumen Dionisiy (Shlenov), Professor of the Moscow Theological Academy, as an Abbot of the St. Andrew’s Stauropegial Monastery and Head of the Postgraduate Department at the Moscow Theological Academy.

On March 22, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy celebrated the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on the day of Forty Martyrs of Sebast at the Intercession Academic Church and performed a deacon’s ordination.
