On February 8, 2023, the Academy celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the 85th anniversary of the martyrdom of John Vasilyevich Popov, an outstanding church scholar and Professor of the Moscow Theological Academy.

On February 6, 2023, the Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy took part in an online meeting of rectors and representatives of the administration of theological educational institutions of the Moscow region.

On February 4 and 5, the Academy held divine services of the first preparatory week before the Great Lent and prayerfully commemorated the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church.

On February 2, 2023, the Moscow Theological Academy hosted a gathering of representatives of Student Councils of Moscow and the Moscow region theological schools. During the meeting, they discussed a plan of the Orthodox youth forum.

On January 31, 2023, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, met with Elena Viktorovna Titova, Director of the Russian Museum of Decorative Arts.

On February 1, 2023, Archimandrite Hilarion (Forkavets) and the academic clergy performed the festive Divine Liturgy on the 14th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

On January 28, 2023, some items from the MThA Museum collection are on display at the newly opened exhibition «Spiritual Bridge between Two Capitals», which takes place at the exhibition center named after St. Sergius of Radonezh in the Sergievskiy Municipal District, St. Petersburg.

On January 26 and 27, 2023, as part of the XXXI International Christmas Educational Readings "Global Challenges of Modernity and the Spiritual Choice of a Man", the Moscow Theological Academy and the Russian State Humanitarian University held the VII International Scientific Conference «Issues of Preserving Church Art».

On January 28 and 29, 2023, the Bishop of Skopinsk and Shatsk Pitirim concelebrated by the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, officiated an All-night Vigil and the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church.

On January 26, 2023, the State Duma hosted the XI Christmas Parliamentary Meetings, which were headed by His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill and V. V. Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

On January 23, 2023, the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church held a church-wide round table on icon-painting education, which gathered representatives of nine theological institutions.

On January 19, 2023, Professor Vladimir M. Kirillin, Head of the Philology Department at the Moscow Theological Academy, received an «Imperial Culture» award. The ceremony took place at the House of Russian Writers’ Union in Moscow.
