On June 30 and July 1, Archimandrite Luka (Golovkov), Dean of the Icon-painting and Church Art Faculty at the Moscow Theological Academy, officed divine services at the Intercession Academic Church on the day of veneration an icon of the Mother of God “Bogolyubskaya”.

On May 25, the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Icon Painting Faculty of the Moscow Theological academy organized a round table "From the educational experience of the Icon Painting and Church Art Faculty of the Moscow Theological Academy on preparing icon painters." The event took place at the Elizabethan Hall of the Academy.

12 мая на базе Учебного комитета Русской Православной Церкви состоялось дистанционное совещание по вопросу разработки типовой учебно-методической документации (рабочих программ дисциплин, практик, итоговой аттестации) основной образовательной программы подготовки иконописцев.

6 мая, в день памяти великомученика Георгия Победоносца, Святейший Патриарх Кирилл совершил пресвитерскую хиротонию иеродиакона Бориса (Зелюченко).

27 апреля декан иконописного факультета Московской духовной академии архимандрит Лука (Головков) возглавил Божественную литургию в Духовском храме Троице-Сергиевой лавры. На богослужении пели и молились студенты и выпускники иконописного факультета.
