Round table on “F.M. Dostoevsky’s works in the context of the history of the XIX century”

Representatives of the Missionary Department of the Moscow Theological Academy attended a round table on “F.M. Dostoevsky’s works in the context of the history of the XIX century” organized by the Sergiev Posad Toy Institute, which is a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education“ Higher School of Folk Arts (Academy) ”.

Hieromonk Thaddeus (Pryadun), Head of the Missionary Department, opened an event with a welcoming speech about F.M. Dostoevsky. 

Reader Daniil Yakushev, a 3rd year undergraduate student, gave a report on “The Christian view of F.M. Dostoevsky's novel "Crime and Punishment".

At the round table, they analyzed a number of F.M. Dostoevsky’s works from historical, social and Christian moral points of view. There was also a study of the clothing worn by heroes of "Crime and Punishment" novel, which became features of their professional orientation.

The Toy Institute has been cooperating with the Missionary Department of the Moscow Theological Academy for a long time.
