On the Commemoration Day of St. Maximus the Greek, Bishop Kirill Ordained an Academy Student to the Diaconate
On February 2 and 3, festive services were held at the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra on the occasion of the feast of St. Maximus the Greek, whose holy relics rest in the Refectory Church of the monastery.
On February 3, the feast day itself, Bishop Kirill of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov celebrated the Divine Liturgy, concelebrated by Bishop Gavriil of Solikamsk and Chusovoy.
During the service, Bishop Kirill ordained Oleg Bushuev, a 4th-year Bachelor’s student at the MThA, to the rank of deacon.
