Students Of The "Blogging - Advanced Level" Program Of The MThA Department Of Additional Education Complete Their Studies
On May 18, 2026, the latest cohort of students of the "Blogging - Advanced Level" program completed their studies at the Department of Additional Education of the Moscow Theological Academy. The group, consisting of more than 50 people, reinforced previously acquired skills and gained new knowledge in the field of media communications.
"Since October 2024, when the pilot project of the program started, I have been communicating personally with each student and observing how they grow in their mastery of creating clips and posts, and how they are transformed. Creativity and inspiration for the glory of God make a person brighter and more beautiful regardless of the years they have lived. At the last lesson, people sat before me confidently conducting a live broadcast, whereas in the first lessons they were nervous and afraid to say a word. Appearing on air before a camera in a remote format seemed more difficult to the students than before a real audience. But they managed it! Practically all students of the advanced level are now running one or even two channels: a personal one and a page for a parish or organization. Many created their channels from scratch and currently already have hundreds of subscribers. For example, Priest Nikolay Melekhin, Dean of the village of Novaya Lyalya in the Sverdlovsk region, runs two channels: 'Nikolay Melekhin' and 'Christ Is Among Us'. The priest has eight thousand subscribers. This means that we are winning back the information space in favor of Orthodox themes. The students did not limit themselves to the main assignments; an 'Extracurricular Works' folder was opened, and a multitude of them were completed because the creative flight and imagination that had opened up could not be stopped. My dear and beloved students! Godspeed! We met so as not to part!" - commented S.F. Alipova, the author of the program, teacher at the MThA Department of Additional Education, musician, director, and Orthodox blogger.
Graduates and students of theological schools, priests and parish employees, as well as journalists and PR managers of various organizations - everyone who needs to represent their activities in the public sphere - can undergo training in the "Basics of Blogging" program at both the introductory and advanced levels.
Classes for the next cohort of the "Basics of Blogging: Creating Content for Social Networks" program will begin in the autumn of 2026 and will be held once a week using distance learning technologies for two months.
