Visit of the Bishop of Alaska and Sitka Alexy to the Moscow Theological Academy

On November 16, the Bishop of Alaska and Sitka Alexy and Archpriest Daniel Andreyuk, a representative of the Orthodox Church under the Moscow Patriarchate in America and Dean of St. Catherine’s Church in Moscow, visited the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius’s Lavra and the Moscow Theological Academy. 

Guests went on a guided tour round the Moscow Theological Academy, the Museum “Church-Archaeological Cabinet” and an architectural ensemble of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius’s Lavra. 

After the excursions, they met with the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy. 

At the meeting there also was Archpriest Daniil Andreyuk, Dean of St. Catherine’s Church in Vspolye; Hegumen Dionisy (Shlyonov), Professor of the Philology Department at the Moscow Theological Academy; Hegumen Philip (Elshin), a member of the Lavra brethren; Dmitry Petrovsky, an employee of the External Church Relations Department of the Moscow Patriarchate, and Deacon Nicholas Craigl, a 1st-year Master's student and a cleric of the Orthodox Church in America.
