Teachers of the Biblical Studies Department took part in the seminar “Biblical Didactics in the Orthodox Tradition”

On March 3, the Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechism held a scientific and practical seminar “Biblical didactics in the Orthodox tradition. Experience and prospects». The seminar was held in a blended format both face-to-face and on the Zoom platform.

The event was organised by representatives of the Synodal Department for Religious Education and Catechism and the Synodal Biblical and Theological Commission.

Hegumen John (Rubin) was a moderator of the seminar.

The participants touched upon various issues related to teaching and interpretation of Bible within the framework of missionary activity, as well as presenting the Holy Scripture in the information space.

The presented topic turned out to be extremely relevant and caused a lively discussion. In particular, Archpriest Alexander Timofeev suggested creating a publicly available Orthodox Explanatory Bible. The idea was supported by other participants.
