“The beginning of our salvation has started today”: the Academy solemnly celebrated the Nativity of the Mother of God
The Nativity of the Mother of God is the first feast of a new church year. This day is called the day of the Lord, because Virgin Mary, Who gave birth to Christ the Savior, was born.
On September 20, Archimandrite Venedikt (Knyazev) officed the All-night vigil at the Intercession Academic Church co-served by teachers and students in the priesthood.
At the Lithia, Archimandrite Venedikt blessed the bread for the worshipers.

On September 21, Archimandrite Venedikt (Knyazev) celebrated the Divine Liturgy co-served by the academic clergy.
After the Sacrament verse, Mikhail Mozdor a fourth-year undergraduate student, delivered a sermon about the feat of the Virgin Mary. Thanks to Her the Kingdom of Heaven was opened to believers. Michael called to take an example of Her sensitive and attentive attitude to a spiritual life in order to be able to hear God’s voice.
