Moscow Theological Academy Online English Theological Course Enrollment (2026/2027)
The Moscow Theological Academy (MThA) is pleased to announce that enrollment is now open for its remote theological program in English for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The course is designed for one academic year (9 months). Upon successful completion of the program and final examinations, students will receive a standardized certificate of completion and final examination issued by the MThA.
The program covers a total of eleven core subjects of the Orthodox theological curriculum. The course of study includes Holy Scripture of the Old Testament, Holy Scripture of the New Testament, Fundamental Theology, Dogmatic Theology, Comparative Theology, Ethical Theology, Patrology, Liturgics, History of the Christian Church, History of the Russian Orthodox Church, and History of Religions.
The program is specifically intended for clergy members and active church workers serving in foreign parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church who already hold a secular higher education degree. It is also open to all foreign-language students and individuals who wish to gain a deeper, more detailed understanding of Orthodox doctrine and church traditions.
The entire program is delivered online, combining structured lectures taught by a board of teachers of the Moscow Theological Academy and independent study of the provided academic materials for the subjects listed above.
The final deadline to submit applications is September 21, 2026, at 09:00 AM (Moscow time).
