Bishop Theodorite became the Acting Head of the Theology department

On November 2, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, chaired a meeting of the Theology Department, which took place both in remote and offline formats.

In his opening speech Rector greeted all the members of the department. He noted that despite the Theology Department is the main department of the Moscow Theological Academy, it has recently lacked peace and mutual understanding.

Due to the expiration of the office term of Archpriest Pavel Velikanov, Acting Head of the department, and taking into consideration number of disagreements among the teaching staff, Bishop Theodorite decided to postpone an election of a new Head of the department. 

Bishop Theodorite temporarily took over the general leadership of the department.

At the meeting participants appointed reviewers for final qualifying works and presented a new issue of the cathedral journal "Bible and Christian Antiquity".
