Bishop Theodorite took part in celebrations dedicated to the Day of St. Sergius of Radonezh
On July 17 and 18, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, took part in celebrations on the Day of uncovering the holy relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
On July 17, the Patriarchal Governor of the Moscow Diocese, the Metropolitan of Krutitsky and Kolomna Pavel headed an Vespers and the Akathist to St. Sergius at the Trinity Cathedral co-served by the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Thomas, Abbot of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius’ Lavra, and the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy.
On the same day, Bishop Theodorite concelebrated at the All-night Vigil with the Metropolitan of Kashira Theognost, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism, and the Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Thomas, Abbot of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius’ Lavra, at the Trinity Cathedral of the Lavra.
On July 18, the Metropolitan of Krutitsk and Kolomna Pavel, Patriarchal Governor of the Moscow Diocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgy on a Cathedral square of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius’ Lavra. The Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, was among a council of bishops and priests from all over Russia conserving Metropolitan Pavel.
