Head of the Department of History and Theory of Church Art took part in a TV program “Orthodox Encyclopedia”
Nina Valerievna Kvlividze, Head of the Department of History and Theory of Church Art at the Moscow Theological Academy, took part in a TV program “Orthodox Encyclopedia”. The topic of a recent episode was Christian iconography.
The scientific editors of the publishing house Ella Shevchenko and Eugene Zabolotny discussed with Nina Kvlividze a tradition of icon veneration in Byzantium, Christian iconography, its revival and development after the period of iconoclasm and the difference between an icon and a portrait.
