Head of the Department of History and Theory of Church Art took part in a TV program "Orthodox Encyclopedia"

Nina Valerievna Kvlividze, PhD in Art History, Professor and Head of the Department of History and Theory of Church Art at the Moscow Theological Academy, took part in a TV program "Orthodox Encyclopedia".

The scientific editors of a publishing house Ella Shevchenko and Yevgeny Zabolotny discussed with Nina Valerievna a dramatic period of iconoclasm. Nina Valerievna explained the phenomenon of iconoclasm and the time of its origin, talked about confrontation between iconoclasts and icon-worshipers, as well as to what extend this period influenced the further development of Christian iconography.
