“The Reader. Local Orthodox Churches and the World Council of Churches"
The Publishing House «Science» released a textbook «The Reader. Local Orthodox Churches and the World Council of Churches» by the teachers at the Church History Department of the Moscow Theological Academy priests Ilya Pismenyuk and Ioann Kechkin.
The preparation of the book was carried out with the financial support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Researches within the framework of a scientific project No. 21-011-44111.
The Reader contains documents and materials on the history of relationships between Local Orthodox Churches and the World Council of Churches (WCC) in the XX century.
It includes official documents, brief biographies of main Orthodox representatives in the ecumenical movement, lists of official Orthodox delegates in the Assemblies of the World Council of Churches, as well as key sources and literature. A number of submitted documents have been translated from English and published for the first time in a Russian edition.
The Reader will be interesting for students and teachers of higher educational institutions.
