On Great Tuesday, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill honored teachers of the Moscow Theological Academy with church awards

On April 27, on Great Tuesday with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, the Metropolitan of the Voskresensk Dionysius, Head of the Moscow Patriarchate Management and the first vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.

By the decree of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, a number of clergymen of the Moscow diocese, Patriarchal households outside Moscow, stauropegic parishes and monasteries and synodal departments were awarded with liturgical hierarchical awards for their diligent service to the Holy Church. Among them, there were teachers of the Moscow Theological Academy.

The right to wear a gold pectoral cross got:

• Priest Ilya Pismenyuk, cleric of the Church of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, Patriarchal Metochion in Ochakovo-Matveyevsk, teacher of the Moscow Theological Academy;
• Priest Sergiy Churakov, cleric of the Intercession Academic Church and a teacher of the Moscow Theological Academy;
• Hieromonk Dometian (Kurlanov), cleric of the Intercession Academic Church, a teacher and a senior assistant to the Vice-rector for Educational work at the Moscow Theological Academy.

On behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, Metropolitan Dionysius congratulated the awardees and wished them God's help in further labors for the good of the Church.
