Bishop Kirill Ordained an MThA Student to the Deaconate on the Feast of the Entry
On December 4, the Feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, in the Dormition Cathedral of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra, the Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, Bishop Kirill of Sergiyev Posad and Dmitrov, led the Divine Liturgy.
During the service, His Eminence performed the diaconal ordination of fourth-year undergraduate Academy student Dionysius Afonin and the rites of tonsure as readers for fourth-year undergraduate MThA students Maxim Sakharov, Nikolai Smirnov, Dmitry Pugach, and Vladimir Stepanov.
Upon completion of the service, Bishop Kirill addressed the worshippers with a sermon.
