The Academy celebrated the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Today the Church venerates the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, which defeated the death and opened the way to the Kingdom of Heaven:

“Come, all God-loving ones, seeing the Holy Cross being lifted up, let us exalt together and glorify the Redeemer and God, crying out: “Crucified on a tree of the Cross, do not neglect us praying to You!”

On September 26, the Rector Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill officed the All-Night Vigil at the Intercession Church of the Moscow Theological Academy.

After the Lithia, Bishop Kirill consecrated bread.

Before the Kathismas, Mikhail Zhilyak, a first-year Master's student, delvered a sermon.

After the Great Doxology, Bishop Kirill solemnly brought the Cross of the Lord out of the altar and led the rite of its exaltation.

After the Sacrament verse, Nikita Pakhomov, a fourth-year undergraduate student, delivered a sermon.

At the end of the service, the clergy sang the glorification before the Cross of the Lord. After that, Bishop Kirill greeted everyone on the holiday.
