New issue of the “Church Historian” journal
The Moscow Theological Academy has published the third issue of a scientific a journal "Church Historian". The editor-in-chief is Professor Alexei Konstantinovich Svetozarsky, Head of the Church History Department.
The issue shows the researches of teachers and students of the Church History Department. It is mainly dedicated to the General Christian History, the Russian Orthodox Church History, as well as national and world history.
The third issue contains the following articles:
1. “The relationship between the bishop and the clergy according to the early Christian monuments of the I - II centuries” by Associate Professor, Priest Ioann Kechkin and Vasily Vl. Ravlik.
2. "Leading ecumenical organizations of the first half of the XX century" by priest Ilia Pismenyuk, a teacher.
3. "Minutes of the Penza Diocesan Congress of the Clergy and Laity" by Radomir (Roman) Vl. Buldakov, a methodologist of the Church History Department.
4. "Conservative clergy and official church periodicals in 1905" by Associate Professor Pavel Ev. Lipovetsky.
5. “Teaching Russian civil history in the pre-revolutionary academy: the experience of V. O. Klyuchevsky” by Kirill A. Cherepennikov, a teacher.
The authors are members of the Moscow Theological Academy and other educational institutions and scientific organizations, as well as students of the Department.
The final section tells about the life and work of the Church History department.
