Graduation ceremony at the Moscow Theological Academy

On July 3, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, led a 2022 graduation ceremony for undergraduate and Master’s students and graduates of the Icon-painting and Church Art Faculty.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy and a thanksgiving prayer service at the Intercession Academic Church, the Rector Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite addressed the graduates with a parting word.

Then, the graduates solemnly got their diplomas and final certificates. 

After that, the Rector of the Academy expressed the words of gratitude to His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill and the academic staff on behalf of the graduates.

In front of the altar apse of the Intercession Academic Church the Rector, teachers and graduates took a collective photo.  

Singing the troparion of Holy Pentecost, the procession went to the Trinity Cathedral of the Holy Trinity – St. Sergius’s Lavra, where the graduates venerated the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh.

The Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite performed a prayer service there.

Then the Rector, teachers and graduates officed a funeral service at the academic necropolis for the repose of the deceased mentors.
