A series of teachers’ training workshops at the Moscow Theological Academy
On April 12 to 14, the Moscow Theological Academy provided a series of teachers’ training workshops.
The event was to share experience and increase the level of teaching efficiency in young academic teachers.
On April 12 priest Dmitry Baritsky, Ph.D. in Theology, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor of the Philology Department and the Department of Biblical Studies, gave the first training workshop “Writing Academic Essays: Organization, Leadership”. He shared his own teaching experience on how to write an essay with students on "Holy Scripture of the Old Testament" and gave an example of its structure. Priest Dmitry noted that his approach allows students to master expressing their points of view and develop skills in scientific writing style.
On April 14 Anna V. Arkhangelskaya, PhD. in Philology, Associate Professor of the History of Russian Literature Department at the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, led the second workshop on "Methodology for conducting seminars and practical classes". She highlighted the legal, methodological and practical aspects of seminars and practical classes, their role and place in educational process.
Among the participants there were not only young teachers, but also Associate professors and Professors of the Moscow Theological Academy. The workshops caused a lively discussion.
