A meeting dedicated to the memory of Honored Professor Konstantine Skurat
On January 27, Professor Alexei K. Svetozarsky, Head of the Church History Department of the Moscow Theological Academy, chaired a meeting dedicated to the memory of Honored Professor Konstantin Ephimovich Skurat. The meeting was attended by teachers, graduates and students of the Moscow Theological Academy.
Associate Professor Pavel Ev. Lipovetsky made a report on Professor K. Skurat’s life path and spoke about his childhood and study years. The speaker paid attention to the scientific legacy of Konstantin Ephimovich for the benefit of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Alexey Konstantinovich Svetozarsky shared his memories of the time of co-working with the deceased.
Teachers and students of the department also shared their memories and remarkable moments, when Konstantin Efimovich Skurat played a key role. The participants were concordant in their assessment of the high personal, moral and spiritual qualities of their former colleague.
At the end, there was a working part of the meeting. The members of the department discussed and approved topics of term papers and Master's thesis, chose a reviewer and a date for the pre-defense of a candidate's dissertation.
