The MThA Scientific and Methodological Council had its first meeting in a new academic year
On September 8, 2022, the Rector Archimandrite Kirill chaired a meeting of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Moscow Theological Academy.
The participants discussed the question of appointing scientific advisors for PhD dissertations, the distribution of educational materials in the Church History for undergraduate students and the format of classes in optional disciplines.
They also touched upon the procedure of final examinations for graduates of previous years at he Department of Correspondence Education, who did not defend their final qualification works on time.
Another issue to mention was the curriculum for a retraining program for academic teachers in Theology.

The Scientific and Methodological Council of the Moscow Theological Academy (the MThA SMC) coordinates scientific and methodological work in order to improve an educational process, research activities and the level of graduates. The SMC subordinates the Rector and the Academic Council of the Moscow Theological Academy.
