The Academy celebrated the memory of three ecumenical teachers and saints

On February 12, the Holy Church honors the memory of three ecumenical teachers and saints Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom.

Today the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church co-served by teachers and students in the priesthood.

At the Hours, Bishop Theodorite elevated Vladislav Pshibyshevsky, a 2nd year post-graduate student, into a subdeacon.

At the Liturgy, chanting in Greek was performed by the school of Byzantine singing "Scholion Psaltikis".

After the Eucharistic Canon, Bishop Theodorite ordained Subdeacon Vladislav Pshibyshevsky into a deacon.

After the sacrament verse, Hegumen Dionysiy (Shlenov) delivered a sermon.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Theodorite and the clergy of the academic church sang the glorification to Sts. Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom.
