The MThA Rector celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the memory of Saint Righteous Alexy Mechev
On the memory day of St. Cyril of Alexandria and Righteous Alexy Mechev, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church co-served by the 2013 graduates in the priesthood.
After the Great Entrance, the Rector ordained Deacon Nikita Sorokoletov, a second-year postgraduate student, into a priest.
After the Eucharistic Canon, Bishop Kirill ordained Kirill Kournikov, a second-year Master's student, into a deacon.
On June 21, after the Glorious Matins, the academic clergy together with the 2013 graduates sang the Akathist to the Mother of God.
At the end of the Akathist, the Rector elevated Reader Kirill Kournikov into the rank of a subdeacon.
