The Academy celebrated the day of the Bogolyubskaya Icon of the Mother of God

On July 1, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church co-served by the academic clergy.

During the service, the Rector ordained Sergey Karpenko, a 2023 Master's graduate, into a deacon.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy in the altar of the Intercession Church, Bishop Kirill congratulated the newly ordained deacon and wished him God’ blessing in his ministry.

At the service, Bishop Kirill congratulated Archimandrite Luka (Golovkov), Dean of the Icon Painting and Church Art Faculty, on his birthday.
