The Academy celebrated All Russian Saints Sunday

Just as light illuminates colourful mosaics, the Holy Spirit shines saints of God filling them with virtues. Princes and simpletons, monks and laymen, martyrs and holy virgins in their pace and way fulfilled God's commandments.

In tragic moments of Russia history God’s love manifested Itself in the choir of righteous people, who were faithful to Christ and remembered that He was crucified for us.

On June 17, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill co-served by the academic clergy officiated an All-night Vigil.

Archimandrite Venedikt (Knyazev) led the festive lithia and consecrated the bread.

Before reading the Kathisma, Grigory Rodionov, a fourth-year undergraduate student, delivered a sermon. In his speech, the preacher noted that the Holy Spirit is achieved not by your great deeds or accomplishments, but by daily and hourly standing before God, according to the words of Apostle Paul: For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lords (Rom.14:8)

On June 18, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy co-served by the teachers and students in the priesthood.

At the Antiphons, Bishop Kirill tonsured third-year undergraduate students Ruslan Ustinov, Georgy Chemsky, Vladislav Rybak and Daniil Zheltukhin as Reader.

After the Great Entrance, the Rector ordained Deacon Sergiy Mishin, a third-year undergraduate student at the Pererva Theological Seminary, into a priest.

After the Eucharistic Canon, Bishop Kirill ordained Andrey Churashev, a second-year Master's student of the St. Tikhon’s Humanitarian University, into a deacon.

Before the Communion, Priest Nikita Sedelnikov, a first-year Master's student, delivered a sermon.

After the dismissal, the academic clergy sang the glorification to All Russian Saints. Then, Bishop Kirill addressed an assembly with his archpastoral word:
