Divine Liturgy at the Academy on the day of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill

On February 1, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the 13th anniversary of the enthronment of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

On this day, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Theodorite, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Academic Church co-served by the academic clergy.

At the antiphons, Bishop Theodorite tonsured 3rd year undergraduate students Feodor Sokolov, Daniil Fetisov, Alexei Vedernikov, Seraphim Bezrukikh as Readers and elevated Vladimir Kadochnikov, a 1st year Master’s student, into a subdeacon.

At the service, special prayer petitions were offered for His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill on the occasion of his enthronement.

After the Eucharistic Canon, Bishop Theodorite ordained Subdeacon Vladimir Kadochnikov into a deacon.

At the end of the Eucharistic canon, Hieromonk Tavrion (Smykov) delivered a sermon.

After the dismissal, they proclaimed many years to His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
