Christmas Carols at the Academy
Каждый двунадесятый праздник в Православной Церкви длится несколько дней. Последний день празднования называется «отданием».
On January 13, the Holy Church celebrates the last day of the Christmas feast. Students of the Chorister’s faculty prepared a special festive program and gave a small concert in a hall of the Moscow Theological Academy.
Bishop Theodorite attended the concert. At the end, he thanked Hegumen Lazar (Gnativ), Dean of the Chorister’s faculty, and students for the beautifully performed Christmas Carols and creating the joyful holiday spirit, and awarded them with memorable gifts.
Hegumen Lazar also greeted everyone and emphasized the importance of preserving the established traditions especially in current difficult times.
