Sunday services on the 6th week after Pentecost

Friendship, unity and love within the Christian community are achieved by co-working of the Holy Spirit and personal human efforts.

The Apostle Paul in his epistle to the Romans describes how Jesus Christ’s divine grace acts in each person’s life. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness (Rom.12:6-8).

Before the Kathisma, Reader Georgy Son delivered a sermon on the Sunday Gospel passage: 

A person can be completely healthy and prosperous, but without God his life is not full. “Our heart knows no rest until it rests in You”, said Blessed Augustine. When a person forgets God, his heart does not know any peace.

On July 16, Archimandrite Venedikt (Knyazev) celebrated the Divine Liturgy co-served by the academic clergy.
