The defense of students’ graduation works at the icon-painting faculty

On June 28, the students’ graduation works of the icon-painting faculty were presented in the Great Hall of the Moscow Theological Academy.

The attestation commission considered icons painted in Russian and Byzantine styles. According to the results, all works got positive evaluation.

Some icons will be transferred to the following places:

• the Svyatogorsk Lavra desert;
• Trinity Cathedral of the Solovetsk Monastery;
• the church of Alexander of Neva in Ryazan;
• a courtyard of the American Orthodox Church in Moscow.

At the end, members of the commission congratulated the graduates with the completion of their educational programme and wished God's help on their future creative work for the good of the Holy Church.
