The MThA Sports and Tourism Club went on a ski trip
On February 1, the Sports and Tourism Club of the Moscow Theological Academy went on a ski trip in honour of the prophet Ilia.
Priest Dimitri Baritsky, MThA Associate Professor and the Head of the club, gladly responded to the students' initiative to organise a ski trip. The route started at the Holy Trinity St. Sergius’s Lavra, went through Chernigov Hermitage and village Journalist. More experienced skiers went further to Paraclite Hermitage in Smena village. The 17 km path ran through the fabulous winter forest.
The event was attended by teachers and students of the Academy. All necessary equipment was provided by the club.
A postgraduate student Anastasia Nikitina shared her impressions of the trip.
The fresh air, especially forest air, has a beneficial effect on human health, and improves the body resistance to viral infections. We wish such trips carried out regularly, so they will certainly give strength and enthusiasm for new educational and spiritual exploits! "
