The Head of the MThA Missionary Department took part at the VI Christmas Readings in Tuva
On December 13, in the Kyzyl diocese hosted the VI Tuvan Christmas Readings held under the general theme of the XXIX International Christmas Educational Readings "Alexander Nevsky: West and East, historical memory".
On December 10, participants of the Christmas readings visited the National Museum of the Tatarstan Republic named after the Safyanovs' in Turan. T.E. Vereshchagina, museum director, took the guests round an exhibition and told about the history of the Republic at the beginning of the XX century. Then, Hieromonk Thaddeus (Pryadun), Head of the Missionary Department of the Moscow Theological Academy, made a report on the hierarchy of scientific knowledge in the views of a modern man in comparison with a religious position on this issue.
On December 11 and 12, there was an educational trip to Ak-Dovurak city. At the end of the evening service and Divine Liturgy, conversations on moral and patriotic topics continued at the Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos in Ak-Dovurak. The discussion was attended by Hieromonk Thaddeus (Pryadun), Head of the Missionary department and a teacher of the Moscow Theological Academy, Anthony Dulevich, Head of the Missionary department of the Kyzyl diocese, and an employee of the Kyzyl diocese Alexei Gusarenko.
On December 13, the solemn closing of the Christmas readings took place in the assembly hall of the Kyzyl Diocesan Administration. At the end of the thanksgiving service the results of the event were summed up.
