The MThA Rector met with a representative of the Assyrian Church of the East

On November 19, the Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, Rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, met with Bishop Mar Narsay Benyamin, a representative of the Assyrian Church of the East, the diocese of Iran, Armenia and Georgia.

The meeting took place within the working visit of the delegation of the Assyrian Church of the East to Russia. They discussed the cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Assyrian Church of the East touching upon the question of discriminating Christians in the Middle East.

Bishop Mar Narsai Benyamin conveyed to the Rector some words of gratitude from Patriarch Mar Ava Ruvel for two members of the Assyrian Church of the East, who are studying at the Moscow Theological Academy. They are Priest Addai Danial Nazlu, a third-year undergraduate student, and Deacon Artur Avdyshev, a second-year Master’s student.
