The MThA Rector met E. Yu. Gagarina, General Director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Moscow Kremlin»

On November 14, representatives of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Moscow Kremlin» paid a working visit to the Moscow Theological Academy.

The delegation included Elena Yuryevna Gagarina, General Director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Moscow Kremlin», a the daughter of an astronaut Yu. A. Gagarin, N.F. Afanasyeva, Deputy General Director for Storage, Accounting and Restoration, and N.A. Komarov, Deputy General Director for Engineering, Repair and Maintenance.

During the visit, the delegation met with the Rector Bishop of Zvenigorod Kirill, and A. S. Novikov, Director of the MThA Museum of Christian Art «Church and Archaeological Cabinet».

At the meeting, They discussed some issues related to the storage and restoration of ancient and modern monuments of church art. Special attention was paid to items of church vestments, fabrics and sewing. They shared their working experience of museum exhibits and discussed opportunities for holding joint exhibitions in the future.
