The Rector and representatives of the MThA administration took part in a meeting of the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church

On October 30, 2023, as part of the interconnection cooperation the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church held a meeting of Rectors and representatives of higher theological educational institutions in the Moscow region.

The Moscow Theological Academy was represented by the Rector Bishop of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov Kirill, priest Pavel Lizgunov, Vice-rector for academic affairs, priest Andrei Lysevich, Vice-rector for licensing and accreditation, and deacon Dionisy Makarov, Deputy head of the Graduate School. 

They discussed the general situation regarding the students’ enrollment to higher theological educational institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2023-2024, considered proposals received from preschool educational institutions in the Moscow region for the development of the “Liturgics” course and worked on a draft pilot survey on the life of the Church in the Soviet Union. Other topical issues were also discussed.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the preliminary results of the state accreditation monitoring of theological schools.
