Editorial Board of the Biblical Studies Department held an online meeting

On October 26, the editorial board of the MThA Department of Biblical Studies took an online meeting. It was chaired by Archpriest Oleg Mumrikov, Acting Head of the Biblical Studies Department.

Archpriest Alexander Timofeev, Head of the MThA biblical cabinet, spoke about developing department's publishing activity and its current state of thing.

Then the participants discussed some issues concerning publishing activity of the MThA Department of Biblical Studies.

They also proposed some plans for future development and promoting a publishing activity. In particular, a new editorial board was appointed. It included the following teachers of the Moscow Theological Academy:

  • Archpriest Oleg Mumrikov, Associate Professor, Acting Head of the Biblical Studies Department at the Moscow Theological Academy, Editor of the "Biblical Apologetics" section;
  • Archpriest Alexander Timofeev, Head of the MThA biblical cabinet, Senior lecturer of the Biblical Studies Department, Editor-in-chief and editor of the "Biblical archeology" section;
  • Priest Sergiy Fufayev, Researcher and Lecturer of the Biblical Studies Department, Scientific Editor, Editor of the "Biblical Theology", "Biblical Hermeneutics" and "The Bible and Philosophy" sections;
  • Hieromonk Philofei (Artyushin), Doctor of Theology, Associate Professor of the Biblical Studies Department, Editor of the "Modern Biblical Studies" section;
  • M.А. Skobelev, Associate Professor of the Biblical Studies Department, Editor of the "Old Testament Studies" section;
  • M.V. Kovshov, Associate Professor of the Biblical Studies Department, Editor of the “St. Paul the Apostle’s Heritage” section;
  • Deacon Nikolai Shablevsky, PhD in Theology, Lecturer of the of Biblical Studies Department, Editor of the "Biblical Translations", "Biblical Philology" and "Old Testament Studies" sections;
  • S.V. Zubov, Senior Lecturer of the Biblical Studies Department, Editor of the "Problems of Teaching Biblical and Theological Disciplines" section.

The participants decided to attract new professional proofreaders to work on the publications and also clarified the duties of the section editors.

At the end, they set deadlines for submitting materials to the next issue of a scientific journal.

The meeting ended with a joint prayer.
