“Rejoice, all the ends of the earth celebrating your honorable Archangels”: The Academy glorified the memory of Michael the Archangel and All Heavenly Powers

How can we, ordinary people, acknowledge all the benefits shown to us by holy angels? Thanks to their help and intercession, Lot’s family was saved from the death at the city of Sodom as well as other chosen people were saved in wars by celestial armies! Holy Angels announced the Christmas and the Resurrection of the Lord! And the sound of their trumpets will be the call of the General Resurrection!

We praise you, holy Archangels and Angels, who serve the God’s Will! Thank you, Heavenly Powers, for guarding our bodies and souls day and night! We pray to you, Servants of God, with the words of Canon:

Let us be jealous of the life of angels, and direct our thoughts to the Heights (Canon of Michael the Archangel and other Heavenly Powers, the 8th canto). 

On November 20, Archimandrite Platon (Igumnov) officiated the All-night Vigil at the Intercession Academic Church.

On November 21, 2023, Archimandrite Venedikt (Knyazev) celebrated the Divine Liturgy accompanied by the academic clergy at the Intercession Academic Church. 

At the morning service, Reader Alexey Denisov, a first-year Master's student, delivered a sermon. 

At the end of the service, the academic clergy sang a glorification to the Heavenly Powers in front of the festive icon. Then, Archimandrite Benedict congratulated the worshipers.
