A website of the MThA Museum of Christian Art was presented to the heads of icon painting departments of theological schools

On January 24, 2025, in the assembly hall of the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church, the director of the Museum of Christian Art “Church and Archaeological Cabinet” of the Moscow Theological Academy A.S. Novikov and a curator of the exhibition E.L. Lisovskaya introduced the heads of icon painting departments to the museum website.  

There we can find information about exhibits as well as an educational course on the history of Christian Art. Photographs of icons from the museum collection posted on the website can be used for practical purposes and training of future icon painters.

The presentation took place within the framework of the Church-wide exhibition of creative works of students and teachers of theological educational institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church “Faces of the patron saints of Rus”.
