Projects of the Moscow Theological Academy became winners of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research competition
In January 2021, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research launched a grant program on "Theology in the context of interdisciplinary research". Projects of fundamental scientific research were presented in the field 11-108 “Philosophy of Religion and Religious Studies. Theology” according to RFBR Classifier.
As a result of the competitive selection, they have chosen 58 projects out of 254, which included scientific researches of the Moscow Theological Academy:
- Project No. 21-011-44111 "The Orthodox Church and Ecumenism: Analysis of Dialogue and Interaction Based on Official Documents of the World Council of Churches (WCC)" (headed by Priest John Kechkin);
- Project № 21-011-44196 "Byzantine worship and the formation of pictorial altar programs in the temples of the X-XIV centuries" (supervisor - Professor Nina Valerievna Kvlividze).
According to grant program terms and conditions, the results of scientific work should be presented in two years.
