A.A. Parpara, a lecturer of the Theology Department at the Moscow Theological Academy, gave a report on "Social Effects of Artificial Intelligence in terms of pastoral care and psychological assistance" at the section "Topical Issues of Orthodox Psychology". The speaker focused on consequences of the technological revolution associated with the massive usage of an artificial intelligence, which caused the restructuring of a labor market and working hours reduction. Both factors became a reason for a significant number of people to suffer from psychological problems. The solution could be found in reorientation of an educational system from focusing on special professional competencies to education developing virtues of a free person.
The conference was broadcast on the official channel «Orthodoxy in Tatarstan».
