The Metropolitan of Montenegro-Primorsk Amphilochius, MThA Honorary Doctor, reposed in the Lord
On October 30, the Metropolitan of Montenegro-Primorsk Amphilochius (Radovich), Honorary Doctor of the Moscow Theological Academy, passed away after complications caused by the coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On 22 January 2006, the Rector Archbishop of Vereya Eugene, awarded Metropolitan Amphilochius with a title of Honorary Doctor in Theology (Honoris Causa) at the Moscow Theological Academy. The degree was approved by the MThA Academic Council and His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II.
Metropolitan Amphilochius was one of the most prominent contemporary Orthodox theologians and his works are known all over the world. He peacefully reposed at the Clinical Center in Montenegro after receiving the Holy Communion.
