The new scientific journal “Theologian” included in the RSCI and received a DOI number. The universal search system for scientific articles adopted for the website “Bogoslov.Ru” is in progress

A new scientific journal “Theologian” created within the framework of the “Theologians of Russia” project was included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), a bibliographic database of scientific publications of Russian scientists and a citation index of scientific articles.

The journal is also assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). DOI code is an information tool that speeds up work with bibliographic information and promotes spreading of a scientific content.

In addition, the project team is working on transforming the search system of the Bogoslov.Ru website. The new version is to be launched in autumn 2024. It will allow to search and group articles by topic not only within the Bogoslov.Ru portal, but also in the scientometric database that will help researchers find articles published in different scientific journals based on a topical query. The classification included in the search engine is based on disciplines and curriculum at the religious educational institutions. Subsequently, it is planned to combine it with other classifiers such as UDC, BBK and others.

The “Theologians of Russia” project is being implemented by the Moscow Theological Academy and the MThA Information Technology Center with the support of the Presidential Grant Fund and the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
