On September 23, the Bishop of Solnechnogorsk Alexiy, Abbot of the Holy Danilov Monastery, visited the Moscow Theological Academy and met with the students in the Great Academic Hall.
On September 23, the Bishop of Solnechnogorsk Alexiy, Abbot of the Holy Danilov Monastery, visited the Moscow Theological Academy and met with the students in the Great Academic Hall.
At first, Bishop Alexiy greeted an assembly and told them about his youth and the days at the Moscow Theological Academy. He mentioned that many of his classmates are now bishops and metropolitans of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The Abbot of the Holy Danilov Monastery encouraged students to always follow the path of the Lord Jesus Christ and never deviate from the right faith giving an example to other people.
After the lecture metropolitan Ilarion answered students’ questions.Throughout the meeting, Bishop Alexiy maintained a lively dialogue. At the end, the students could ask some questions.
